- The original gift value is buried in an email from the buyer.
- A rescheduled booking has the room details but not the voucher history.
- One shift writes the unused $120 in a handover note the next shift cannot find.
Illustrative journey: adult children give their parents a $500 accommodation credit. The parents reserve a $380 stay directly with the property. Reception records the voucher redemption at the agreed point, leaving $120 on the voucher.
On Premium and Professional, the hosted storefront lets the gift buyer purchase without coordinating a phone call with reception or committing the guests to dates.
Offer a defined stay as a non-face value voucher, or a dollar credit towards an eligible booking. State inclusions and restrictions clearly and review classification with your adviser.
A voucher purchase does not hold a room, set a nightly rate or guarantee availability. The guest arranges the stay through your usual process.
Your team checks the code and confirms the amount in VoucherGrid at the appropriate point in your process. Reserving a room does not automatically redeem the voucher.
After $380 is redeemed from a $500 face value voucher, $120 remains recorded. Future use follows your published terms; no cash refund or automatic booking adjustment is implied.
Use accommodation artwork or your own imagery on Premium and Professional. Keep the voucher description precise about what the recipient can arrange.
A note in a reservation may disappear from view when dates change. A separate voucher record lets reception review the gift without reconstructing every booking email.
