Your workshop fills a room. Make learning the gift.

A first pottery class, a cooking workshop or a music lesson can start with a gift. VoucherGrid keeps the voucher value tracked for you; your own enrolment process handles dates, places and attendance.

Hands shaping clay at a pottery wheel in a shared workshop

VoucherGrid records voucher activity and applies the rules you configure. Voucher classification, exceptions and final tax treatment stay with you and your accountant.

Two pairs of hands shaping a clay vessel at a pottery wheel in a shared, light-filled workshop.

The buyer gives the idea. The student chooses when to begin.

Illustrative journey: a partner buys a $200 studio credit. The student enrols in a $150 workshop through your normal process. You record a $150 voucher redemption, leaving $50 for another eligible class.

  • Sell between lessons

On Premium and Professional, your hosted storefront lets buyers purchase while you teach. They can give the gift without needing to enrol themselves.

  • One workshop or a choice of classes

Offer a named workshop as a non-face value voucher, or dollar credit as a face value voucher. Review the classification and terms with your accountant.

  • Enrol through your existing process

The student checks prerequisites, dates and available places with you. Buying a voucher does not enrol them or reserve a seat.

  • Record the voucher when you accept it

Check the code and confirm the amount redeemed in VoucherGrid at your chosen point. The class booking and attendance register remain separate.

  • A course voucher is one voucher

If you offer a whole course, redeem its non-face value voucher as one entitlement. VoucherGrid does not decrement class-pack sessions, record attendance or manage lesson credits.

  • Present the invitation to learn

Use experience or occasion artwork on Premium and Professional. Offer up to three designs per voucher so a birthday gift and an everyday gift can share the same workshop.

The enrolment sheet does not tell you what is left to spend.

A teacher may know who attended but not whether their gift credit has another $50 left. Keeping voucher activity separate avoids relying on the class register for both jobs.

Before

  • An enrolment note says "paid by gift" with no code or remaining value.
  • A rescheduled student has two calendar entries and one unclear voucher record.
  • A course voucher is mistaken for a system that counts each lesson used.

With VoucherGrid

  • The voucher record holds the code, redeemed amount and remaining dollar balance.
  • You check the voucher separately when arranging a replacement class.
  • A named course voucher remains one entitlement; attendance stays in your register.

A clear handover from gift buyer to student.

An introduction to the pottery wheel

A named workshop voucher describes the gift. Your studio confirms the date, level and place separately before accepting it.

A $200 credit, a $150 workshop

Confirm the $150 redemption and keep $50 on the voucher. This tracks money remaining on a face value voucher, not a number of classes.

Records beyond the term calendar

Use Voucher details and Redemption activity for the period alongside your enrolment records. Accounting reports and sync are currently unavailable; your adviser reviews the treatment using your operational records.

Built around Australian voucher rules.

  • Expiry checks. VoucherGrid helps prevent short expiry dates where Australia's three-year minimum applies. Exceptions and your terms still need review.
  • Voucher classification. Face value and non-face value vouchers can have different GST timing. Record the category and relevant settings with your accountant.
  • Operational records. Voucher details and Redemption activity are available on every plan. Accounting reports and Xero or QuickBooks sync are not available. Use operational records with your accountant for reconciliation.
